GoAir is an Indian low-cost airline based in Mumbai. It commenced operations in November 2005. It is the aviation foray of the Wadia Group. As of January 2014, it is the fifth largest airline in India by market share. It operates domestic passenger services to 21 cities with over 100 daily flights and approximately 750 weekly flights. Its hubs are at Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport, Mumbai and Indira Gandhi International Airport, New Delhi.
We were asked to design and deliver a proposal for the reservation website for Go Air. The concept was to create a website that felt “airy” and "open"- we thus decided to integrate interactive moving clouds in the backdrop. The booking interface was designed to be simple and intuitive and used not only to book tickets, but to engage the user there after. In this case to check flight status prior to departure. The website was designed with multi-device viewing in mind. As just a fun exercise, we also decided to propose a redesign of their existing boarding pass.
